The Reading List for May 2023 - The Best Summer Reads
Greetings starfighters. It’s the last day of school for students in my home district, and, let me tell you, most of my teachers are in survival mode. We’re down to the final hours of the final day. Seniors are practicing graduation, awards ceremonies are happening as we speak, and bottles of bourbon sit on the kitchen counters of many a teacher, awaiting this evening’s celebrations of the end of another year.
My thoughts, of course, are turning toward summer. Already, many PD sessions are on the books, both to wrap up this school year and to prepare for the next. But, there is a break coming.
Summer break. The time many of us live for and can’t live without. For me, and many of you, summer is a time to relax and catch up.
I have a stack of books waiting for me. I’m behind on my reading goal (per the usual) and can’t wait to dive in.
This week, I’ve put together a fairly lengthy and diverse list of books you might want to check out this summer. I’ve done my best to cover several genres and styles in both fiction and non-fiction categories.
To check out the list, hop on over to my blog post. Substack won’t give me enough room to put the whole list here (dangit).
Thanks as always for reading. I hope you take some time over the summer to rest and relax and maybe take in a good book.
Cheers!
